ReplyDeleteAlso fascinating that Samos (a nearby island) is almost the same but more developed—the longevity stats there are not at all similar.
DeleteI also wonder if there's some genetic something going on. I would think on a small island like Ikaria there's lots of intermarriages. Maybe healthy longevity is an upside.
